A rare Royal Doulton 'Iris' 21 piece tea set comprising six cups, six saucers, six side plates, sandwich plate, cream jug and sugar bowl. All in perfect condition with blocked in flower handle and trimmed with gold. Each piece with the doulton mark and numbered V1329. Circa 1929.
This is the the most distinguishable Royal Doulton trademark It was introduced in 1901. It brings together the most common and well recognised designs; the famous interlocking ‘D’s’, the crown, the lion, and the roundel. From 1928 the year of production was added.
