A fine silver and crimson enamel rectangular Art Deco table clock on a black marble base with an eight day movement. Measuring 13cm in length and 18cm high. Stamped to the reverse 58843 HA.St Geneve Swiss 0935 and import stamp. Circa 1929.
The makers marks HA.ST stand for H. Arnold & Steinwachs who were world renowned maker of table and travel clocks, founded in 1901 and known for its enamel decorations and so-called magnetic clocks. They produced magnificent clocks, one such example being the Patek Philippe world time desk clocks equipped with the movements made by Louis Cottier.
