Rare Suffragette Movement Car Badge
A rare brass Suffragette Movement Car Badge with the words 'Votes for Women, Join the Drive'. Measuring 14cm in height, this heavy badge would have been placed at the front of the vehicle. Believed to be one of 50 produced in Birmingham to promote the votes for women protest movement of 1911. Of this number it is believed only around 20 have survived before Parliament voiced opposition and the badges were withdrawn.
