WMF Art Nouveau Silver Plated Claret Jug with Original Green Glass Liner
A WMF Claret / Wine jug embossed with a full length female profile in diaphanos robes and holding aloft a fruiting vine. With hinged lid and original crystal cut glass liner, this jug has stamped marks to the base and a capacity of 2.5 pints. Measuring 35cm high this item appears in the WMF book' Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork', based on the the 1906 trade catalogue on page 137, model number 192. Circa 1900.
