Elizabeth Bonté French Art Nouveau Horn Necklace Signed to the Reverse

A horn pendant/necklace, by Elizabeth Bonté, Early 20th Century. The carved horn pendant designed as a flower head in shades of peach with green stems. Set on a cream silk cord with a carnelian drop to the base and with six agate spacers. Measuring 47cm in total length. The horn and the carnelian drop measuring 12cm. Signed to reverse E Bonte. Circa 1900.

Elizabeth Bonté was a Paris based Art Nouveau jeweller. Inspired by the work of René Lalique, Bonté specialised in the use of horn and continued working in the Art Nouveau style as late as the 1930s.
